Training for the Wolf Run is well underway and our fearless pack of wolves are getting prepared! We have raised £873 so far against our target of £1500. Thank you to all of those who have donated, it is appreciated by both the charity and the competitors.
Why support us? Beyond Food as set up by Head Chef Simon Boyle, who since 2004, has worked vigorously to help homeless people across London to rebuild their lives. Using food as a catalyst, Simon has set about imparting his passion, skills and knowledge of cooking and food on to Beyond Food Foundation's apprentices, encouraging them to move their lives forward in a positive and meaningful way. There are not enough inspirational projects aimed at supporting homeless people to end the cycle of ‘no job no home – no home no job’. Simon Boyle’s charity, Beyond Food runs two programmes which have been designed, implemented and perfected by Simon; Freshlife and United Kitchen. Over 1000 homeless people have gone through Fresh Life, with many of the best kitchens in London having a Beyond Food apprentice. With over 100 apprentices employed by Brigade alone.
Simon really is an extraordinary man, he works tirelessly to better the lives of our young homeless people. Giving them respect, hope, skills, job security, and a future. Through his charity Beyond Food and the Brigade Restaurant, he works with the most vulnerable of individuals many with challenges way beyond being homeless.
